3. Transportation
The U.S. transport system is bus-based, with Greyhound, RedCoach, and MegaBus taking you to all parts of the country. All large cities and medium-sized towns can be reached by train using Amtrak. In addition to intercity rail and bus transport, renting a car is also a great option in the US.
If you don’t feel comfortable using taxis or public transport in the US, Uber is also a great option.

4. Safety
As a large country with a diverse population, there are many incidents. Racism is one of the hottest issues in the country. When travelling, you should always be wary of direct and indirect racism. Avoid walking alone in crowded areas at night and consider returning to your accommodation early.

5. Climate
As large as the United States is, the climate and weather varies by season and region.
Summer: June to August,
Autumn: September to November,
Winter: December to February,
Spring: March to May
During the summer, states located in the northern part of the country experience warm (and sometimes hot) days, alternating with chilly early mornings and nights. On the other hand, states in the south and subtropical regions experience sweltering weather.
In autumn, temperatures begin to drop across the United States. Autumn in the northern states is particularly spectacular, with the leaves changing colour and attracting many visitors.
While the southern states remain mild in the winter, the northern, Midwest, western mountains, and prairie states bordering Canada experience bitter cold with lots of snow.
Temperatures rise again in spring and thunderstorms and storms are common across the US until the threshold of summer.
California on the southern Pacific coast has a Mediterranean climate, Florida and Hawaii have a tropical climate, Oregon and Washington on the northern Pacific coast have an oceanic climate, and the exception is Alaska, which has an Arctic climate due to its geographical proximity to the North Pole.

7. Travel precautions
Security screening procedures are strictly enforced at US airports. Before boarding a flight, you must undergo a security check and comply with regulations such as metal and liquid restrictions.
Cities in the United States are made up of many different ethnic groups. Some cities or neighbourhoods may have relatively high crime rates, so you should research safety information about your destination in advance and exercise caution, especially if you’re travelling at night.
Also, the USA is a large country, so there are climate differences in different parts of the country, so if you plan on travelling from city to city, we recommend that you take this into account and dress for the weather.

Restaurants with casual table settings can be found in comfortable clothes, while more upscale restaurants may require formal attire. If you’re not sure what to wear, check the restaurant’s dress code beforehand. Some restaurants require reservations.
Tips
Almost everywhere you receive direct service, you should expect a tip of about 15% of the bill. This includes restaurants, bars, taxis, and Uber, even if you’re not asked. Even if you don’t have cash on you, if you pay with a card, there’s often a space on the receipt for you to write a tip in pen, which will appear on your card bill later.
